The primary purpose of the Police Unity Tour is to raise awareness of Law Enforcement Officers who have died in the line of duty. The secondary purpose is to raise funds for the National Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial and Museum.

The National Law Enforcement Officer's memorial is the only living monument in DC that is not federally funded therefore approximately 2500 Riders (all police officer's or Survivors) , volunteers and support staff raise 1,950.00 each to participate in the ride only. Individual officers also raise funds to ship bicycles, air travel, lodging and supplies. The ride is in May of each year typically during mothers day weekend and it typically kicks off police week

This year Team Vegas has approximately 25 riders composed of members of LVMPD, NLVPD, HPD and the City of Las Vegas Marshals.

In 2016 with the construction of the National Law Enforcement Officers Museum well underway it was announced that in addition to the Hall of Remembrance the Entry Pavilion to the Museum would be named in honor of the Police Unity Tour. This recognition will enhance the awareness and understanding of the Police Unity Tour with every visitor that enters the Museum.

Project FAQ

The Police Unity Tour’s motto is: “We Ride for Those Who Died” and we raise awareness about America’s fallen officers. We hope you will support us by making a donation to our page today.

Today in the United States, some 900,000 law enforcement officers put their lives on the line for the safety and protection of others. But that protection comes at a very high price.

A few sobering statistics:

  • Every 61 hours a peace officer is killed protecting our families and communities
  • Each year, there are over 15,725 assaults
  • More than 13,824 injuries on law enforcement officers
  • On average, 144 officers are killed in the line of duty each year

The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial honors America’s fallen law enforcement heroes who have died in the line of duty. Their mission is to tell the story of America’s law enforcement officers and make it safer for those who serve.

Our participation in the Police Unity Tour helps sponsor the Memorial and its programs like the Officer of the Month Award, Recently Fallen Alert notifications and other special projects.

With every dollar that we raise for the Police Unity Tour, we're doing our part to honor our nation’s law enforcement officers. Please help by supporting our fundraising efforts with a donation!

Thank you for generous support!
