LVMPD Officer David Figueroa, an off-duty Metro Police officer was hit by an SUV early Saturday morning, while riding his personal motorcycle. Injuries are extensive!!!
The next several days are critical due to vascular injuries and blood.
His whole left side is broken from the arm, ribs, pelvis, leg. The injuries are severe.
Officer David Figueroa was injured 18 months prior in a wreck, while on duty. He was in the process of preparing to return to Motors this week.
He has a wife, who is at his side. Fellow Officers have been with him too. They will need all the financial support they can get. Their lives have been forever changed.
March 22, 2015.....Update on Traffic Officer Dave Figueroa:
All necessary surgeries have been completed at this time. He has been been transferred out of UMC to a rehabilitation center. Besides pain management, there is nothing else for UMC to do for him at this time, hence the transfer out of the hospital.
Officer Figueroa is still in very bad shape. His whole left side pretty much casted, broken pelvis still healing.
The only family Officer Figueroa has here is his wife.
