Kaylene has Nephrotic Syndrome and her family needs your help with overwhelming medical expenses.

Both of her parents are LEO's and have asked my help. Of Faith, Hope and Charity, Charity is the greatest gift.

Kaylene with logoKaylene's Story

Kaylene was diagnosed in March of 2014 with Nephrotic Syndrome. Her kidneys are NOT filtering out the proteins her body needs to survive. She has been hospitalized and medicated several times in an effort help her kidneys work, but no real progress has been made. She has had multiple relapses and underwent a kidney biopsy. She has been in and out of hospital and has been placed on a permanent treatment.
The possible complications from her condition include the following:

  • Acute kidney failure
  • Atherosclerosis and related heart diseases
  • Chronic kidney disease
  • Fluid overload, congestive heart failure, pulmonary edema
  • Infections, including pneumococcal pneumonia
  • Malnutrition
  • Renal vein thrombosis

Please Act Today

What would you do if you knew that money was the only thing standing between your child and their chance at a full and happy life? What would any parent do?

We can’t let this happen. We can’t stand by and watch our little girl lose everything she is, suffer unimaginable pain and frustration and ultimately die. What would we tell her big brother in a few years, when the disease has taken over completely? What would we tell ourselves?

Please help support our urgent, lifesaving mission. Every cent counts, but even if all you can do is forward this link to as many people you know, you will have our eternal gratitude. ~ Michelle Crewe

Kaylene's parents are both LEO's (Law Enforcement Officers) in South Africa and are great people. I am doing what I can to help these good people treat and save their daughter's life. Having lost a child myself, I know the pain of losing one. . I guess that's why I am taking such a personal interest in this. My name is Vernon Kirk Hinote. I am Kaylene's uncle and I live in Florida. Kaylene deserves the chance to live.

They are being buried under a mountain of medical expenses for Kaylene. In order to provide her with the treatment she needs, they need financial assistance. Their insurance doesn't not begin to cover all the expenses and their personal finances are exhausted. I am trying to raise $25,000 to help pay for her treatment and necessary medical appliances.

Please find it in your hearts to help me help them. For Jesus said of faith, hope and charity, the greatest of these is charity.

Kaylene has Nephrotic Syndrome ( a rare kidney disease).

We are human... but also parents. You gave us Kaylene to raise in Your name. And it is an honor to do so. But Lord its hard and lonely under these circumstances. So many promised , but failed us. We have tried everything humanly possible to raise earthly funds, in order for her to have a normal life. Lord please lead this process (sic) with Your guidance (sic).
We trust and believe in You.
I ask this in Your name.

Greetings all, Just an update on Kaylene:
She continues to fight and has been hospitalized several times since the start of this campaign. As of 4/20/16 she just returned home recently from the hospital and is still recovering from the latest relapse. Hem mom does monitor this fundraise and will gladly share all comments left behind to Kaylene.
We will continue to pray her and her family.
Much love and prayers to you Kaylene,
    Uncle Kirk and Auntie Melissa
