Officer Andrew Traveller, a 5 year veteran of The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, has suffered a VERY severe back injury!
The injury required him be airlifted to the local trauma center where they performed surgery.
Andrew had been driving home from his shift on the morning of March 2nd, 2015, when he was involved in a roll over accident in wet weather conditions.
LVMPD Officer Traveller is recovering in ICU in stable condition, although it is unknown the extent of his injury or if he will walk again.
Mrs. Traveller works as a nurse and will undoubtedly be needing to be by her husband's side. Although it is fortunate she is familiarized with the medical field, she will also lose much needed work hours.
Andrew Traveller was also a Paramedic at DRMC in St. George, Utah, before becoming a Police Officer in Las Vegas, NV.
Andrew, who has been with LVMPD for 5 years, was injured while he was off duty, so there are no organizations in place to assist his family. Basic expenses of out-of-pocket and co-pays, alone will amount approximately between $10,000 and $20,000. And that doesn't even begin to cover their immediate financial needs!!!
(Updates will be added here, as they become available.)
We ask for your support as he and his wife embark upon a lengthy recovery process and costly medical procedures.
