The Bonner Springs Police Department is committed to policing with the community. Their mission is to police the community they serve with integrity, respect and professionalism. Their mission is accomplished by following their guiding principles:

Money raised from the race will go to help support the new K-9 unitwithin the department.
The community is encouraged to participate in several ways such as registering for the event to run/walk, becoming a sponsor by donating items needed for the race or by being a cash sponsor, volunteering at the race or by donating.
We encourage you to come to the race and get to know the people who protect you every day. If you're unable to attend, but would like to donate a monetary amount, that is appreciated as well.

A: Back The Blue 5K is a community building event hosted by current, and retired law enforcement, their families, and supporters. Our mission is to function as a host for civil engagement and to bring communities together in support of their local law enforcement agency or group.

A: Bonner Springs Police Department K-9 unit to get the training they need as well as the National Police Canine Association for their training efforts.
