Officer Todd Johnson Relief Fund
On October 2nd, 2018 Officer Todd Johnson was involved in a off duty bicycle accident where he sustained life threatening injuries.
Officer Johnson was transported to the local hospital where he was diagnosed with a skull fracture resulting in major swelling and bleeding to Todd’s brain. Officer Johnson was also diagnosed with a broken clavicle and several broken ribs as a result of the accident.
Doctors also advised that the injury to Todd’s brain results in a 60% fatality rate!
Officer Johnson is continuing to receive treatment at Avera Mckennan Hospital in Sioux Falls.
Officer Johnson is a member of the Pierre Police Department and has been a Officer since 2012. When Todd is not on duty, he and his wife Terri spend countless hours volunteering in the Pierre area. Anyone who knows Todd and Terri know what a great impact they have on our community.
We may never fully understand why this terrible thing has happened to such a wonderful man. What we do know is that Todd will continue to defy the odds that have been stacked against him. Those who know him personally understand his willingness to persevere.
This fundraiser was created as a means to reach the family, friends, and supporters of the Johnson family. Our mission is to provide Todd and his loved ones the same love and support that they would undoubtingly show any of us in our own time of need. We hope that this can provide them with a sense of relief as they continue to move forward towards a new beginning.
